Inmotion Hosting

  • Dedicated Servers
  • Virtual Private Servers
  • Business Class Hosting
  • Pesonal Hosting
  • Total Website Management

Inmotion has it all, and they have a 99.9% uptime guarantee. According to their terms of service agreement, subscribers to the various plans are given 30/90 days depending on the program level to request a full money back refund. Usually anything over 30 days is unheard of.

CPUs are all Pentium class up to Quad Core, with onboard cache between one (1) and four (4) megabytes. RAID is offered on the Quad Core offering, which is solely under the dedicated hosting options. Price discounts occur at each term level (either monhly or semi-annual billing).

Business class hosting offers three (3) levels of service, with most common Unix based utilities available.

Virtual private servers are available based on memory quotas. This type of hosting scheme requires services for the site to run within the alloted quota, although programs are allowed to "burst" memory up to almost an entire megabyte. Essentially this means that your shared hosting space must accommodate the other users on the machine. This can be an excellent option for business who run only web-server based services (like Apache, PHP, and MySQL), because it is rare to require more memory than the web server configuration is set to allow each website. This means that you aren't paying for memory that you don't use.

Finally, theres an option for personal hosting, which is nearly the least expensive in the industry. Coupled with the website management option, everything is hands-off. Theres no need to spend time monkeying with web technologies that Inmotion will administer, which frees up time to spend on product offerings or content.

Inmotion Hosting Support
Written by The Tech Guy

The technical support center offers telephone support for 24 by 7 support.

Tutorials and user guides are available for basic web services, and most are in rich media flash formats.

Of course, the best information is current information, and that is available in the user forums section of the support site.

Trouble tickets can be submitted through the online ticketing system, with more recent frequently access articles available in the support ticket dashboard. This makes getting to the most relevent articles a breeze.
